Reality check

Last week

This week

Just a few Hawaii pictures

I know this blog is about Gus, but here are a few pictures from my trip to Hawaii.  We had a blast.  the weather was not always as nice as we would have liked, but we laughed until our sides hurt.  Jen's fiance, Adam, was a super trooper putting up with all us girls invading their house.

Jen had to finish up some work on Thursday, so Jenny, Colleen and I went over to the dry side of the island.  While there we did a little power shopping too.
Although we were there for Jen's birthday, we also celebrated their recent betrothment with an amazing curry dinner that Jen's friend Esmeralda made.  She even brought chocolate covered strawberries and champagne.  The best food I have ever had camping!
We all bought macthing t-shirts with mermaids on them to support the women's surf tournament.  Plus we liked the corny factor.
This picture sums up our time together.  As always, magical.  Thanks Jen and Adam for being such amazing hosts.

More Sledding

We had our second snow storm and Gus got to sled with the Tiso boys.  Allan, my boss, has five boys and Gus adores them.  Plus, they have the coolest sleds.
Uncle Sam will be happy to know that the excavator works just as well in snow as it does in sand and dirt.

Still loves the drums

Watch out Bill Silverthorn, Thor is in the house!

As I mentioned in the last email, Thor has been racing his old Husqvarna.  Here are some pictures from a moto cross race at Glenn Helen Race track.  Gus and I went out to cheer daddy on.
You can barely make out Thor on the starting line, but he is the one standing with the yellow jersey on.  Gus was supporting Daddy by wearing his Team Husqvarna jersey too.

At the Zoo

Gramp Gramp Dean, Thor and Gus took a little trip to the Living Desert museum and zoo while he was here.  As always, they had a great time.  Gus really enjoys the warthogs and we must stop to see them.  This time, they went to the petting zoo part and were able to brush the goats.  Gus was really into that too.

Too fast, too fast!

The giant desert tortoise is really cool too.

Time to go home.

The Great Outdoors

While Gramp Gramp Dean was here, the boys spent a lot of time exploring outside.  We had beautiful weather and they took advantage of as much as they could.

Family Time

Gramp Gramp Dean came to visit in February.  Fun was had by all.  It is awesome that Gus gets to spend time with all of his grandparents.  It was great fun watching Gus "torture" Dean by moving so fast.  Here are a few pictures from quiet time at home.

Our first snow of 2012

Well, it finally came.   Gus was super excited to be able to ride along with Uncle Shawn in the Bobcat.  That is all he talked about for two days.  Daddy and Gus got a little sledding, but the next snow (a week later) was then really put in quality time sledding.  Poor Daddy was exhausted.
