New Baby Boy

Well the proof is in the pudding!  It's a boy!  We are supper excited to be expanding the Husqvarna team.  We had a few girl names picked out but nothing for a boy yet.  Right now he is just "Baby Ole".
Supposedly, that is the part that makes him a boy.

At the Creek

We had gorgeous weather last weekend and decided to spend it at the creek in town.  Gus loves exploring and even though the water was cold, he still stomped through it.  We took his pants off and let him run around in his underwear.  He loved it!

Construction Gus

Gus still loves building things!  Now that the weather is better, he is all into building roads with his mini construction equipment.  But when he can't go outside, he is just as happy to build towers and use his "wrecking ball" to knock them down.

Racing at Glen Helen

Thor raced again last weekend.  He raced on a pretty crazy track and it has super hot.  He did great and we were able to see all of his races.  Even Judy made it out to see him this week.  It was a real treat.  Gus did his best to represent "Team Husqvarna" with his jersey daddy made.

Snow "Beards"

You have heard of snow birds, but what about snow beards?  I think this was inspired by Uncle Christian's quite impressive beard.  It is so big, Gus thinks stingrays can live in it.

Sledding Once More (Hopefully)

Gus and Thor had a grand time taking advantage of what we hope will be the last snowfall of the season.  We invested in a new sled a while back and it is super fast as you can see in the first two pictures.  Quite on accident, the boys discovered a natural jump near our favorite sledding area.  In the third picture, you can see Gus catching some major "air" and loving every minute of it.  Our friend Teagan was out sledding with us too and he wanted to try, but he didn't want to go alone.  Gus and Teagan aslo caught some air.  We all had a blast!

Snow Slushies

A while back, I was talking to Aunt Mary Jo.  It had just snowed and she told me how her mother used to fill a mug with snow and orange juice as a special treat for them when she was a kid.  I thought what great idea (I prefer baileys, but Gus is still a little young for that.)  To tell you the truth, I forgot about it until today.  It was a beautiful blue sky day and after sledding, I got the orange juice and we found some clean snow.  The three of us thoroughly enjoyed our "special treat".  Thanks Aunt Mary Jo for sharing that story with me.

Clean Up

After Sledding and Snow Slushies, Gus decided that he needed to "plow" off all the snow off the picnic benches.

Forklift Daddy

So Gus created a new game yesterday called forklift.  The pictures really tell it all.  Another good work out for Daddy, who needs a gym.

Saturday Hike

The weather has finally really started o feel like Spring.  Gram Gram Ju Ju arrived yesterday and we all decided to take a hike up May Valley Trail.  It was beautiful and we had a blast.  Two hours of hiking wasn't enough outside time for Gus before nap time.  He had to get a few digs in the sand pit with his excavator too.

As always, trying to move mountains

Mommy and Gus self portrait

What would we do with out self timer cameras?

Still at it, trying to move more mountains one sand pile at a time

More Playing

Gus was super excited to show Uncle Christian and Aunt Ingrid his toys.  He also couldn't wait to share our Friday night ritual, which is watching Signing Times and then Wild America with Marty Stouffer.  We also get to eat popcorn and lay in Mommy's bed.  Gus planned out how everyone was going to fit on the bed.  He wanted to be as close as possible to Aunt Ingrid.

Uncle Christian and Aunt Ingrid arrive

Thor's brother and sister-in-law have come to CA for the first time.  Both were very excited to see the Pacific Ocean.  Thor and Gus went to pick them up in San Diego.  They took a detour to the beach before coming home.  Gus helped Uncle Christian put some wax on his surf board before Uncle Christian went out and kicked butt at Dog's Beach.

Random Pictures

Here are just a few photos.  I left my camera battery/charger in Hawaii, but Jen has graciously sent it back so I promise more pictures soon.
