Gardening

The plants Thor and Gus started as seedlings grew pretty fast.  They fixed up the “green house” (an enclosure to keep the deer out, not really a green house) and planted them in there and in the enclosure where the roses where.  Gus has really taken to this farming thing.

Haircut

Thor has decided hat Gus is the best barber on the hill.  I know he looks a little like he has the mange but we evened it our when Gus was done.

Jumping

Gus has taken jumping to the great outdoors.  My assistant, “Uncle Chris”, has been giving him lessons.

Construction Gus

They are paving the road to our mountain.  Gus and I went off the hill on a Saturday and these trucks were parked so we went out and took some pictures.  He was in heaven being able to get up close and check them out.

Nonni and Poppy’s visit

My parents came to visit for two weeks to celebrate our birthdays and Marlin’s baptism.  Here are a few pictures form their visit.

My 40th Birthday

That’s right, this vision of youth and charisma turned 40 in May.  Hard to believe, but true.  It was an interesting day.  I had my wish of having girls granted.  The day started with a phone call from some friends who were expecting their 3rd girl.  She was ready to enter the world and we agreed to watch their two older girls.  So we had a houseful of laughing and giggling kids.  Then we had a big slumber party.  There are a lot worse ways to spend your birthday.  We realized that the boy units are much easier!

Marlin's Baptism

Here are some pictures of the next Pope.  That is what our priest said he looked like in his outfit.

Poppy Teaches Gus How to Cast

Gus was a quick study.  He can cast as far as I can now.  He has even mastered a spinning rod.  Can’t wait to get him out on Poppy's boat in August.

Gus' 4th Birthday

Gus had a very exciting birthday.  He received all kinds of “equipment” so he could do “work”.  Mom and Dad got him a John Deer tractor and trailer.   We got him a wheelbarrow.  Grandpa Dean got him a live heel excavator (yes, he knows what that is, how to use and asked for it!).  Grandma Judy gave him a radio flyer wagon.  He is pretty much all set.  Oh yeah, and at the end of the day he can snuggle in his new construction equipment sleeping bag.

Too much sugar gives you buggy eyes.  Here is proof with Gus and Uncle Chris!
