"Man"cation to Utah

Thor and Gus took advantage of the great weather and the wonderful hospitality of Dave and Levi Finfrock.  Levi is a year older than Gus.  Dave, Stella, Thor and I all worked at Astrocamp during our first tour of duty.  It is great to see our families grow and thrive.  Here are a few pictures Dave took of the boys.

Oh Captain, my Captain!

The many uses of a a pancake flipper that boys will come up with.  Think about this picture the next time you go to flip your pancakes.

Still more uses

Who me?  I wasn't going to get all wet in this stream.

The Rest of the July Pictures

July was a busy month for us.  We had kids in camp the whole time.  This meant working 7 days a week.  Thor and Gus spent a lot of time together.  We did make time for family, but not nearly enough.  We also had some friends (Eric, Tracy and Will Forsyth) come visit on one of the rare weekends off.  It was great to see them and have the boys play together (Gus is 6 months older than Will)  The month went by fast but we still managed to have some fun.
Action Shot!  Starting him young.
How can we catch that lizard Daddy?
Diaper Head Super Heroes!  There are no poopy diapers to scary for us.

My Mom told me never to pick up hitch hikers, now I know why.

One of the best parts of living at a summer camp is the 80 foot slip and slide  and mud pit.
Naked drum time with Will and Gus.  The boys will never live this one down.
Naked finger painting.  We do a lot of things naked in the summer time.  It is usually easier to clean up.

Sunday mornings were a good time for Mommy and Gus to play before the next batch of kids arrived to camp.

Welcome to Gusqavarna

Hi All,

So we have moved into the realm of blogs.  I realized mid summer that the baby of the week pictures were being returned and that none of you were able to see them because of their large size.  Here, I can put however many pictures I want on at one time and you can post comments on the blog too.

I purposely chose a blog name that will not show up in most searches.  Thor has an old Husqavarna motorcycle that Gus (aka Soren) thinks is his, so we call him Gusqavarna as a nickname.  We will still send out emails with the link to let you know when we have updated the blog.  I am hoping this will be easier for all of us.  Also, Thor can update it too.  Lastly, it will save all the postings so you can see pictures of Gus all the way back to Easter.  Currently, the navigation bar to the left is a bit off because I started posting in July, but they are really pictures from April.  Once I get all the back log of pictures in, it will be a bit more user friendly.

We hope you enjoy this new format and if you have any questions, feel free to email me.

Love and miss you all,
Michelle. Thor, and Soren

The Rest of May Pictures

Mother's Day was spent at the High Desert Museum with Nonna and Poppy. Of course, Mom and i had to ope our Mother's Day presents first. Gus got me a locket to put his picture and a lock of his hair in. He got Nonna a memory book that I am sure she will shamelessly show anyone who asks.

After the museum Gus was ready to go to sleep. He wanted to sleep in the living room on the day bed, but we finally got him in the tub and took the cute close up pictures after. Finally Poppy read the Very Hungry Caterpillar before bedtime.

Later that week we went to the skate pack in town to show off Gus' moves to Nonna and Poppy. It was a fun trip and we hated to see them go. However, we were very lucky to have Grandma JuJu come visit the next week. We also had a play date with "Uncle Chris". Chris is one of my assistants and loves throwing Gus up in the air. Gus loves it too. It is quite a work out these days but Chris is young and strong.
