And the fun continues.... After we got home from Sea world, we had our family birthday party. Nonni and Poppy gave Gus a compactor and a great book called "Goodnight, Goodnight Construction Site". This has become his favorite bed time book. We got him a basketball net and ball just his size. And Grandpa Dean got him a crane, which doubles as a wrecking ball too. He is one lucky little boy.

Sea World
For Gus' actually birthday, we went to Sea World in San Diego. He was a little angel all day. We sat in the "soak zone" for the shows. That was Gus' favorite part, the Orca splashing him. He also really liked the Beluga whales. They swam right by the glass belly up. We pretended to tickle their bellies. He thought that was pretty fun.
Gus thought the Orcas were a little bigger than a trout. This guy came out of no where and Gus jumped back when he first saw him, but eventually warmed up to the gentle giant.
Construction Birthday Party
We had a construction themed 3rd birthday party for Gus. He thought that was pretty cool. He especially liked the chocolate and safety orange frosted cupcakes complete with their very own piece of construction equipment. We even had a visit from our friend Roy in full costume as a construction worker. Fun was had by all.

Play time
Nonna and Poppy came to visit in the beginning of May to kick off the birthday season. We had a few days of mellow hanging out before the real fun began.

He loves being a 'wrecking ball", should I be worried?

Instead of party hats, I found these hard hats for the kids to wear at the party. Gus couldn't wait to try it on.

New Baby Boy
At the Creek
We had gorgeous weather last weekend and decided to spend it at the creek in town. Gus loves exploring and even though the water was cold, he still stomped through it. We took his pants off and let him run around in his underwear. He loved it!
