Pre-Thanksgiving Stomp

The Wednesday before Thanksgiving, our dear friend, Eric Gorman, came to visit us.  He was spending Thanksgiving with his family  in Palos Verdes so he came up here for the afternoon.  It was a gorgeous afternoon and Gus wanted to show him all his favorite spots, so we went for a romp!
Getting ready for Thanksgiving football in the meadow!
Family photo.  You can see how excited the dog is about this.
Gus is sitting inside the "Grandmother tree".  God only knows how old this thing was, but a few years ago they cut it down because it was hollow from being struck by lightening.  That is why it looks like it was burned in the inside.
This is the stump from the Grandmother tree.  In the next picture you get a better idea of how large this tree was.  It truly was a giant.
This is another of Gus' favorite spots - the Hairball River.  (No, it is not named after my friend Deb)
Gus thought it would be easier (aka, dirtier) if Daddy held his ankles and he reached into the river
Once again, Daddy teaching Gus how to really flop out
